How to reach-
The road to Triund is 7 km from Dharamkot and passes the Galu Devi Temple. It usually takes 34 hours from Dharamkot. The trek in Triund starts at Galu Base Camp, which can be reached by taxi or bus from McLeodganj. Start the trek from either McLeodganj or Bhagsu Nag depending on how far you want to trek. Triund is about 18 km from Dharamshala, the trek from here is about 1,100 meters and is a relatively steep climb. To go all the way, ponies and horses are available.

Best time to visit-
Other than the monsoon seasons of July, August, and the winter season of January, February, this trek can be done around the year. Spring and summer from March to June are the best weather conditions for hiking. Coupled with extra warm clothing, trekking is ideal for trekking and rescue in the severe weather conditions in April and May. In December, the first snow awaits you during the hike.

- Dal Lake- The route from the forest to Dal is very nice, best to ask for the way before entering the forest. The lake is small but calm.
- Bhagsunath Falls is about a kilometre walk from McLeodganj. One can reach the falls, then live there and have Maggi in the small shop. It really hit differently.
- Dharamkot – It is full Restaurants in contrast to McLeodganj which has more foreigners and more foreign restaurants.
- Glacier- Above Triund there is Glacier, it is wonderful and must be covered.
